The interface enables the connection of an original VW rear view camera to a multimedia interface or aftermarket navigation system such as,
Noname radios, aftermarket radios or original Discover Media VW navigation systems at PQ platforms.
Connection of original rear view cameras as LOW with RGB signals.
The adapter is also suitable for operating a low rear view camera (with RGB video) on a Discover Media, since the Discover Media has a composite video input.
The connection is very easy.
The 26-pin connector of the reversing camera is plugged into the socket. The converter is connected to the vehicle
The following are to be connected:
Ignition plus (+ 12V)
Reversing signal (Back / Rear)
Ground
alternatively you can connect + 12v and reversing signal line together to + 12v. (So the interface has continuous power)
The white wire is pinned to pin 6 and the brown wire to pin 12 of the blue quadlock connector.
Installation takes less than 30 minutes.
