Note:
To ensure proper functioning of the CAN adapter, your RNS 510 may need to be encoded accordingly.
These codes are mandatory!
1. (to be found in bit 07 from byte 07) "Communication to the switching point application in BAP mode" must be DISABLED.
If this coding is wrong, you will not get an ad in the MFA!

2. (To be found in byte 01 "Soundsystem") No matter what sound system you have installed, you must encode your RNS 510 to "No Soundsystem"!
If this encoding is incorrect, you may have a bad sound or distorted spoken voice announcements.

3. (To be found in byte 02 "loudspeaker") Please make the selection according to your vehicle accordingly. If you have installed an amplifier, whether a VW or Aftermarket system, please encode "Soundsystem verbaut".
If the wrong coding is entered here, the fader is missing in the "Tone" menu item.

4. (to be found in Byte 04) Once you have installed an amplifier, please set this coding to "00" ("Monitoring inactive").
If this coding is incorrect, your RNS 510 generates numerous entries in the error memory.

5. Some devices, especially the older ones, have problems with the display of the small mini-compass in the MFA.
If you are affected, you can encode the compass in bit 06 of byte 07.
Where:
Bit 06 = 0 -> Compass switched on
Bit 06 = 1 -> Compass switched off
